A Seminar by: Gateway To Denmark
Moving to Denmark
When moving to Denmark, you are not just going to stay in a different house, eating a
different meal and work in a different office. You are faced with one very important
truth: Other people - although they may dress like you, speak your language, and
work for the same company - are not "just like you". You'll be living among people
that have a different history, language and ways to behave.
Getting to know Danes and the Danish way of life take time. You must understand the
history of the Danes, the rules the culture runs by, and the way we view the
business process, to mention a few things. But understanding does not come
overnight. It takes preparation, effort, and an open mind.
The course Living in Denmark - the cultural opportunities and challenges provides
these benefits and is an exciting and interactive experience.
The course is developed in co-operation with Dr. Allan Hjorth, who is responsible
for the education in Cross-Cultural Management at Copenhagen Business School.
The course is directly aimed at expats' who have just moved to Denmark. It helps
the employee and spouse adopting to the Danish culture - Faster - smoother -
and more effectively - because:
- It's short and effective
- It's placed after hours
- You meet other expats
- It provides immediate competence
The single most common reason for failed transitions is discontent of the family.
We therefore strongly recommend that the spouse or partner of the transferee
participate in the course.
The course is in four modules of two hours.
